The most recent inspection (July 2025) found no violations at all. Earlier issues from the opening inspection in April were mostly equipment approval and facility maintenance items (household fridges, backflow device, gaps at doors) rather than active food contamination or improper holding temperatures, and these appear to have been resolved by the clean follow-up inspection.

Non-food-contact surfaces of equipment that are exposed to splash, spillage, or other food soiling or that require frequent cleaning shall be constructed of a corrosion-resistant, nonabsorbent, and smooth material. AMC 16.60.150(4-101.19) **OBSERVED TWO STANDING REFRIGERATORS IN THE FOOD PREP AREA THAT ARE INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD-USE ONLY AND ARE NOT APPROVED FOR USE IN A RETAIL ESTABLISHMENT DUE TO PERFORMANCE AND SANITATION STANDARDS. THE TWO REFRIGERATORS MENTIONED ABOVE WERE ADDED TO THE ESTABLISHMENT AFTER THE PLAN REVIEW WAS APPROVED. ESTABLISHMENT DID NOT NOTIFY THE PLAN REVIEWER THAT THE EQUIPMENT HAD CHANGED FROM THE COMMERCIALLY RATED TWO-DOOR REFRIGERATOR AND A SINGLE-DOOR STANDING FREEZER. AFTER A PLAN REVIEW HAS BEEN APPROVED ALL CHANGES MUST THEN BE SUBMITTED TO THE DEPARTMENT FOR UPDATE TO THE APPROVED PLAN. THE TWO HOUSEHOLD-USE REFRIGERATORS IN THE FOOD PREP AREA WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED WITH COMMERCIAL GRADE EQUIPMENT WITH THE AN ANSI/NSF CERTIFICATION.
A plumbing system shall be installed to preclude backflow of a solid, liquid, or gas contaminant into the water supply system at each point of use at the food establishment, including on a hose bibb if a hose is attached or on a hose bibb if a hose is not attached and backflow prevention is required by law, by either providing an air gap or installing an approved backflow prevention device. AMC 16.60.160(5-203.14) *OBSERVED THE FOOD PREP SINK WITHOUT AN AIR GAP OR AN APPROVED BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICE. ENSURE AIR GAPS OR APPROVED BACKFLOW PREVENTION DEVICES ARE INSTALLED AT EACH POINT OF USE TO INCLUDE THE PREP SINK OBSERVED DURING THIS INSPECTION. FOLLOW DIRECTIVE ABOVE.
A toilet room used by females shall be provided with a covered receptacle for sanitary napkins. AMC 16.60.160(5-501.17) *OBSERVED TWO MULTI-GENDER TOILET ROOMS WITH OPEN RECEPTACLES ONLY. ENSURE TOILET ROOMS USED BY FEMALES ARE PROVIDED WITH A COVERED RECEPTACLE. FOLLOW DIRECITVE ABOVE.
Outer openings of a food establishment shall be protected against the entry of insects and rodents. AMC 16.60.170(6-202.15) OBSERVED DAYLIGHT ENTERING ESTABLISHMENT AT OUTER OPENINGS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR DOORS. AT EACH OUTER OPENING LIGHT WAS VISIBLE THROUGH THE DOOR SWEEPS AT THE BOTTOM OF MIDDLE OF THE DOORS. ENSURE WEATHER STRIPPING, DOOR SWEEPS, AND / OR THE OUTER OPENINGS FOR THE FRONT AND REAR DOORS ARE REPAIRED AND/OR REPLACED. FOLLOW DIRECTIVE ABOVE.
