The only issue found was that test strips for checking sanitizer concentration were temporarily missing, which the inspector resolved on the spot by providing some. This is a minor, easily corrected paperwork/supply issue rather than evidence of unsafe food handling, temperatures, or contamination.
Concentration of the sanitizing solution shall be accurately determined by using a test kit or other device. AMC 16.60.150(4-501.116). A test kit or other device that accurately measures the concentration of sanitizing solutions shall be provided. AMC 16.60.150(4-302.14). ***THE PERSON IN CHARGE WAS NOT ABLE TO LOCATE TEST STRIPS FOR CHLORINE SANITIZER. INSPECTOR LEFT THE PIC ENOUGH TEST STRIPS FOR THE DAY. ENSURE THAT THE TEST STRIPS ARE ACQUIRED AND USED TO ENSURE PROPER CONCENTRATION IS ACHIEVED.
